This is a gift certificate for a workshop that includes eye protection, a make it labs t-shirt and custom cut gift certificate.

This workshop will show basic operation of the CNC Plasma cutter.  A CNC plasma cutter is a tool that allows prices cutting of metal on a 2d profile.  It will take in a .dxf and burn out the geometry you have designed.  

We will go over all of the basic needs for operation of the equipment.  By the end of the session each attendee will have learned the following skills
-Safety and theory behind Plasma operation
-How to import a DXF into the Plasma software
-How to set up the machine and zero material.
-How to burn out part
-Clean  up of machine
-Deburring of part to remove slag.

You will learn some of the limitations of the plasma cutting process and how to plan for them in your design.

Participation requires closed toe shoes, non polyester clothing, a long sleeve shirt and long pants.

The cost includes Consumables (Shield Cup, Tip, Swirl Baffle, Electrode) for the Plasma cutter as well as material to make some MakeIt Labs utility keychain (bottle opener).
